A BBPS Bill Payment Application, Built for a Client

Our client needed a digital bill payment application that could connect end users to the Bharat BillPay ecosystem — fast, reliable, and available across multiple biller categories, from electricity and telecom to DTH, water, and loan repayments. The hard part isn't the UI; it's the real-time transaction processing, biller integrations, and reconciliation underneath it.

We built the application around the realities of BBPS: biller discovery and selection, bill fetch and validation, payment processing, and transaction status handling as distinct, observable stages — Bill Fetch → Bill Validation → Payment → Transaction Confirmation → Receipt — rather than treating the whole flow as one opaque step.

During development, we used AI-assisted tooling to accelerate integration work across dozens of biller APIs and to analyze transaction logs and failure patterns during testing — surfacing edge cases in reconciliation and status handling earlier than manual QA alone would have caught.
